• If you find one of recycling depot full, please take the time to let us know! The recycling bins are monitored, but there are times when they fill faster than expected.
Old Home Week 2011
• This year a booth was set up at Old Home Week in the Exhibit building to gain some exposure and to educate people who stopped by the fair about the benefits of recycling, composting and general waste reduction.

Join Recycle Ben and Friends on a Waste Loss Tour

• This fourteen-page, full-colour booklet is available to students and educators in the Valley Region (Carleton County and Victoria County) at no cost. It is easy to read and should appeal to students ages 6 to 12. Even adults have given positive feedback with regards to the informative content. This booklet is jam-packed with information and activities pertaining to the 3R's, backyard composting, waste disposal and provincial programs.
Contents include such topics as:

Map drawing: Draw a map to your community recycling drop-off.

From bottles to T-shirts: Find out what happens to the drink bottle that you recycle.
